Clapotis~

It's done it's done~~~

I was sewing in the ends in the car yesterday and by the time we reached the restaurant, the Clapotis is finally (and officialy) done.

It was earlier modelled by Mollie who somehow loves knitting. (too bad she doesn't have a thumb)

The Clapotis' first night out was at the Scarlet's Desire, and I was sipping a Martini with it. So. I think it's going to go out with me quite often.

Dropped close

The size? there you go...

SEE!

Clapotis was casted on in May and completed in June 2007.
5 balls of Rowan Tapestry in Whirlpool used on 4.5mm Clovers.

Indulge.

To celebrate...

the last stitch knitted (actually purled) on the Clapotis!!!!

More pictures to follow because the ends are not woven in yet, and there are still drop stitches to free.

Meanwhile, I need to prep for a tutorial class tomorrow (the first real class of this career!)

Today is also June 19, so 2 years ago, this was what happened...

Clap along with me?

So I'm done with the increasing rows...

Done Increasing - Clapotis

I love how the yarn sort of has this sheen to it.

It's really smooth to knit with too, although I've heard of the yarn breaking (and when it precariously becomes very thin at some parts) I get a bit nervous. But the Tapestry's been behaving so far, and I've joined another ball! (Yayy!) A new skill learnt - that's join by felting... hehehe

Decided to work on to see what dropping the stitches look like. They look great!

First Drop!

And now i think it will go very slowly now... AS is back over the weekend and I'm not done with the second Thuja (it does go very quickly, since I take it out with me.) I can't wait (for the Thuja to be done and for AS to come back and for me to start the entrelac scarf with the Leadmine!)
