Muguet de Mai

Also known as Lily of the Valley Shawl, this pattern really bored me to tears. :(
I was initially drawn to the beautiful outcome of the piece, and thought it would be easy to memorize. But because of that, I got really bored with the pattern and finished two other shawls (swallowtail and hanami) in the process of knitting this.

Nevertheless, I still love the finished product. It's a little short but the width is perfect. I've gone down needle sizes on this but I'm not regretting it. I guess it took me a long while to realize that every little bit is an advance to the finish line. :)

I think I'm not turned off by borders after I've seen the finished product, but it'll be awhile before I'm going to do anything with borders again!

The shawl is completely gorgeous! Really is...looks feather-light too.

However, that boring eh? Beauty comes with a price hahaha!

What about borders do you dislike? The knitting or the look? I find the knitting of them a bit fussy but they look oh so lovely.
