Frogged~~~

it went ribbit ribbit in my hands...

So in my hands was my neverending project... This is one of my firsts, in fact the very reason why I learnt knitting (besides cross-stitching not being challenging enough) But it is just cursed not to move along too quickly. At 138 rows, it's still at least 15 cm away from the end (and I still have the front to go!)

138 rows and not moving

I was already thinking of knitting it in the round after my socks and razor tank. but i never thought it was a good enough reason.

Then, with the very probable tension change (it's my earlier projects right? so it was so tight the stitches could hardly move on the needle) and a new way to do the edging without ribbing or risking the curls, I decided.

Frog it, it is.

Here it stands

RRRRRRRRR....

and there.
Pull out the needle and tug the string...

Froggin' good time
It's sitting very still in my bag. The ripping sort of felt like freedom, as it went rrrrrrrrrrrrr....

And then here it is sitting on my lap, being wound.

Winding

The two balls ended up as two cakes. I casted on again for the new edging and IN THE ROUND this time. Am now up to the seventh row without actually sitting down doing it (i.e. i was in the car, on the internet, doing something etc)

AS was like this :(
but after I explained to him why I had to do it
he was like :)

Meanwhile, I've also casted on for Seduction Socks with some KP yarn I've found. Am using the Boye needles from SP10 and a small preview here. I love the color of the needles!

updating...

I was supposed to put this up yesterday but I was just too tired. Too much going on at home...

Thuja

AS left yesterday morning and on Sunday we were sleepy, packing, ironing, and all sorts of last minute stuff. I started back on Thuja only in the late evening, and thought I needed to finish it before AS leaves in the morning. So I went round after round after round, and for awhile I wondered why either the end never arrived, or his feet were getting bigger...

I must have been quite delirious.

Anyways the single Thuja was completed. Here it is.

ONE Thuja

Not a good photo - I guess I was sleepy.

Kimono

And the whole of yesterday I did a couple of rows on the Kimono again. I won't have much time to work on it and I think I'll finish the Thuja first. I actually ripped it all out twice. So... it's only up to this length at the moment.

Proper Beginnings I

And another look.

Proper Beginnings II

The Sweater

Lastly I worked a few rows on The Sweater today while watching snippets of PBS's "Rumfeld's War"

I work and knit and purl and work... row after row after row...

Have you ever wondered why some things just refuse to grow? no matter how many minutes pass, how many stitches done, how many rows completed, why is this still so far from the required 59cm?!

41 4-ever

Sigh... And I'm already planning to do the sleeves together to lighten the load.

What's up next

Some considerations were in mind to start the Clapotis after my Thujas are done. But mlc found a smaller scarf version of the Eleanor - and I'll probably be working with her and c together. Well, will see what colorways are available at the LYS and hope there's something I like!

Yesterday the sweater hit the 101 row count~
101 rows!

I don't know why i even bother to count the rows but I guess it might be fun to know how many rows (and thus stitches) it takes to make that BACK of the sweater. Still it's only 2/3rds done...

only 2 thirds done

Wuv You Kitty's head and body are completed... now's the limbs... I think i'll try to knit both legs together so that I won't end up with different lengths (for some strange reason) like Oliver.

On another note i've decided to make a 'rainbow' set for my flickr and what else could i do to boost it besides having yarn featured as well.

Sneak Peek

Well,
I've been told that I should preview my stuff
:P

Since I'm so slow, i suppose it wouldn't make much of a difference. haha
But ive finished one ball of yarn on the sweater yesterday! :D yayy!!

It now measures 35cm with 87 rows (excluding ribbing)
And here's a close up

bwahaha

meanwhile Daddy's bear casts on today because ...
well because i want to finish it in time.

stitch your headaches away

There hasn't been anything going on except the Wuv You Kitty's body is completed.
I've started on the head but haven't done much at all in the last few days.
I guess there's too many term papers and work to do! :(

On the other hand i realized that with every stitch i did (i had some done on The Sweater)  a little bit of the headache goes away. Maybe i'm thinking about work too much. Every waking hour is headache-y. I'd stitch and do my term paper at the same time if i could. But it's not quite possible :P

Maybe I'll have something up over the weekend~
